a study in: FLUIDITY
[ LUMIYRE x studio: LUMI ]
a two piece study that moves between silver and cloth, bound by a shared pursuit of drape and weight. The [ LIQUID BRACELET ] renders water in metal, an undulating bangle traced against a hanging chain that keeps light and movement at the wrist. The wave:hoodie carries that gravity into a garment, an oversized cut and sew project drawn from Japanese Mori Kei, its custom milled jersey taken through a specialty wash so the whole thing hangs from the shoulders with the weight we chase in the jewelry. One study, worked in two materials, asking how stillness and flow sit inside a single object.
wave:hoodie
An oversized drop shoulder hoodie cut and sewn entirely in Los Angeles. Milled in the USA from carded cotton jersey, then taken through a specialty green tint and enzyme wash that settles a worn, aged cast into the heather grey. The drop shoulder and elongated sleeves let the whole thing hang with real weight, borrowing the sense of gravity we chase in the jewelry. Finished with flatlock seams, and logo embroidery at the hood.
[ LIQUID PERMANENT BRACELET ]
Revisiting one of our core forms, we aim to explore the tension between metal and water. An undulating silver bangle traces the wrist, contrasted with a hanging chain that introduces movement, light, and subtle texture. Together they create a quiet dialogue between stillness and flow.
